I run into problem when I try to restore to image from the usb external drive to a old hard drive come from another laptop. Maybe it saved all my settings, that would be great.Oh, nope, I don't have the Windows media CD; mine came pre-installed from Costco. I seem to be unable to restore it. Any other folder (like an empty folder) that is aphabetically ahead of a Windows Image Folder will preventallalphabetically trailing System Images from being found. Check This Out

You can not Clone a Dead drive... And ofcourse Macrium is better,and he clearly makes that point,as i have already explained. My point is that the procedure does not allow you to select a folder on a drive to send the image. this contact form Tutorials Help!

I is too easy to overwrite a backup of another drive by accident. I got an error message say "The system image restore failed. I get the same thing as when booting off of a Windows Repair DVD.
