All applications that installs via windows installer are installing(uninstalling) very slow. Do you concure? I have a bunch of programs that load automatically, mostly security stuff, but I have others as well. Many people have used a registry cleaner and never had a problem with it. have a peek here

I had never used those things, but this time i had no other oppurtunities, so I tried, and it worked. Leave the registry alone and don't use any registry cleaner. This information has probably lived on as a myth, that used to be true but no longer is the case.

I deleted those registry keys (after backing them up) and now I can install software at a normal speed! With a little effort, I have it set up to run just like Windows 7 was on it. Regeasycleaner If they always caused problems, they would disappear from the market almost immediately. It would be worth your time to try running just 1 stick of ram (assuming you have more than 1) at a time.

the fact that it wouldn't complete a test is a very bad sign. it boots up ok but slow at responding on opening any programs, browsing the internet, even to the click of the mouse. Use the same (legit) key as you used for Win7 or 8.1.Voila! I think i will try swaping the HD to my laptop and see if I get the slowdown, this will at least eliminate the RAM if it persistes.

At worst, they can severely damage your system by deleting registry files or install malware.
